Toilet Flushing Phase
What do you do when there are 8 potty trained people, one bathroom and a broken toilet?

Hope for best?!

My 2yo has been going through the "Toilet Flushing Phase." First it was his pamper, then a K'nex wheel and now the toilet paper holder.

Unfortunately we didn't catch him in time and now toilet paper holder is stuck! Now our ONLY toilet won't flush properly. Hopefully we can fix it and FAST! With the weekend coming I don't think it'll be easy to get a plumber out here.

Well, I'm headed off to Ace to buy a snake.

Good luck getting your toilet unplugged.
Luckily we didn't go through getting too much tossed in the toilet. A few things non-the-less were lost done the toilet.

oh NO!! that can be a real big problem. hope you fix it... and soon!

how do you handle that with the little one? does he know the ramifications of it all? just wondering.

I can't think it got too far. Your hubby should take the toilet off and check either inside the toilet, or right in the pipes.

Oh no! I can't help with this one - but I hope you can get it fixed. How friendly are you with your neighbors???? :)

I live in the mountains, there are no neighbors, just lots of trees;)

I CAN NOT even imagine!

My daughter never showed any intrest in the toilet but my son already LOVES playing around it, he just hasn't figured out how to open it yet. I always have to leave the door shut but I dont know what I would do with that many kids in the house.

I have a friend with a toilet lid stopper where little hands can't get it open, we just may have to invest in one of those :)

I hope you get it unstuck soon!

Well it's now 9:30 my time (cst) so I hope you have gotten one of the most important items in your home fixed. That is terrible.

Nothing worse than having to go over the mountain to "p". You poor thing. I hope it's fixed soon! I'm really amazed we never had this issue. I had a very busy two year old at one point :)

So... have you guys been enjoying the outdoors, as Leigh Ann suggested. ;-D (Sorry)

Hope everything is fixed now.

oh my - did the snake work? Hopefully, you got this taken care of already! :)

I tried this homemade drain cleaner once as a last resort before calling a plumber. It was an "organic" clog but it worked like a charm. http://www.ehow.com/how_11698_make-own-drain.html

I've also read that you could put about a cup of dish soap, let it sit about 10 minutes, and follow it with a pot of boiling water. Then use your plunger. Supposedly, this makes things slippery and they go right down. Several said it makes a lot of suds but it works!
