Wordless Wednesday: Tough Love
A friend of mine passed this along and I wanted to share it with y'all. (There IS a picture!)

Most of America's populace thinks it very improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control our kids when they have one of "those moments".

One that I found very effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.
They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our little car ride together.

I've included the photo below of one of my sessions, with our son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Its very effective!

Thanks for the laugh Jacque! Here's the original link.

I couldn't help but wonder if you humor was behind the words...hehe, leave it to you!

I was getting worried at the advice to just take a drive. Sorry, that method would have brought about three hellians in this household...ahh!

I still laugh every time I see that!

I saw another method of discipline first hand that made me laugh SO hard.

We were driving behind a pickup truck with a back seat, which had 3 giggly preteen girls in it. Mom and Dad up front, Dad driving. The girls were misbehaving, Dad would turn and wag his finger at them. Useless. Giggly girls continues annoyance. Dad opens a bottled water, turns, and pours it on all 3 of them. The whole bottle. Shook it good to make sure it was empty.

Giggly girls, stopped. Shocked.

My car? Erupting in laughter...Even my boys! We threaten to do that to them if they misbehave :-)
